Murat Sertel Center for Advanced Economic Studies was established in Fall 2009, in honor of the Iate Professor Murat R. Sertel, an internationally reputed Economic Theorist who is the initiator of the mathematical social sciences tradition in Turkey. The Center aims to constitute a gathering point for the scientists who are part of this tradition. Our mission is to represent, through the coordination of the individual scientific activities of our members, a common identity that reflects the internationally recognized mathematical social sciences tradition in Turkey.

  • We will be hosting Bettina E. Klaus (University of Lausanne), on June 22nd, to give a seminer entitled “Competition and Resource Sensitivity in Marriage and Roommate Problems ”.
  • We will be hosting Ken Binmore (University College, London), on June 9th, to give a seminer entitled “Experimental Economics: Where next?”.
  • We will be hosting Doruk İris (Universitate Nova de Lizboa), on May 28th, to give a seminer entitled “International Environmental Aggrements Under Fairness and Reciprocity”.
